BBAW: Discovering David J. Williams
A series of topics were proposed to bring awareness to Book Blogger Appreciation Week:
Today we encourage you to blog about a book you read only because you discovered it on another book blog. Preferably, this will be a book you loved! You might also write a bit about the blog you discovered it on!
I won a copy of Mirrored Heavens in a giveaway on Graeme’s Fantasy Book Review. You can read his review of it and my review. That probably stands as the least favorable review that I’ve posted on my blog, but wait, there’s more.
I kept running into interviews with Williams and the more I thought back over the book, the more it grew on me. After posting in some of the same comment threads and realizing that we geek out over similar things, Williams suggested that I give the sequel a try. That led to me reading an advanced copy of Burning Skies and reviewing it. I’ve since had the chance to hang out with David Williams in person and thus I can credit Graeme with unwittingly introducing me to not only a book but a friend.
