Cover Art: The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms by N.K. Jemisin

100k Kingdoms

N. K. Jemisin, who I follow over at The Magic District, just got the cover art for her first book, The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms. Click on that beautiful image above, if you want a great breakdown of all the ways that it does it’s marketing thing, how it makes the author feel and how well it captures various elements of the story. According to amazon, it looks like we’ll have to wait till next February to experience the inside, but I’m excited that it’s getting a trade paperback release. I really like that format. You can also read about the cover at the orbit blog.
