Thoughts on free

I’m about 1/2 way through The Crooked Letter by Sean Williams. Props to Pyr for offering a free pdf. I found myself in a bookstore over the weekend and immediately went searching for a copy, as I wanted to keep reading even though I didn’t have my laptop on me. I found NO books by Sean Williams. I guess my comment here is that the marketing potential of offering a book for free might have more impact if it was a book currently on the shelves.

The other thought I had about free content came while I was updating various awards on LibraryThing over the weekend. It would be great if LibraryThing offered a field to link to free eBooks like this. Also links to the more common free exerpt.

While I’m posting about Sean Williams, I just got this link via @pyr_books
