List: What This SciFi Fan Listen’s To
The SF Signal Podcast Episode 70 was a panel of science fiction peeps talking about the podcasts they listen to. You can follow that link to see what they came up with. Listed here are the podcasts I’m currently listening to. Right now I’m keeping track of my podcasts via Google Listen on my phone.
- Adventures in SciFi Publishing Interviews. Lots of interviews. When I think of “podcast” this is the first thing that comes to mind… even if I’m not thinking about an alphabetical list.
- Clarkesworld Magazine – Fiction. Science Fiction and Fantasy. Originals
- Coverville – Music podcast. All covers.
- Escape Pod – Fiction. Science Fiction. Mostly “Reprints.”
- Lightspeed Magazine – Fiction. Science Fiction. I just started following this as a podcast.
- PodCastle – Fiction. Fantasy.
- Pseudopod – Fiction. Horror.
- StarShipSofa – “Audio Magazine.” I’ve only listened to a few episodes and they were quite long, but they have great content.
- The Coode Street Podcast – I just added this today, but an editor I love (Jonathan Strahan) and a professional reviewer I love (Gary K. Wolf) should result in a great show
- The Dragon Page – Cover to Cover – Interviews. Also love the rundown of books received.
- The Functional Nerds – Interviews. Recently added to my list.
- The SF Signal Podcast – Interviews and large panel discussions.
- The Skiffy and Fanty Show – A podcast.
- Variant Frequencies – Fiction. Dark and Weird.
- Writing Excuses – Craft and discussion of SFF topics. 15 minute podcasts. Recently added to my list.

My latest addition to my podcatcher is The Dead Robots Society. It’s got writing discussions, book reviews, interviews, and plus, the interests of the hosts cover multiple genres. Highly recommended.

Loving DRS as well now too.
Aw, thanks for the mention, Erin! We really appreciate people helping get the word out. That was so nice of you.
And mentatjack, I hope you continue to enjoy the show and get something out of it. That’s why we do it. Let us know what you think as you listen further.
