I first saw mentions of Moorcock in Richard K Morgan interviews. Moorcock is officially on my radar, but as with most authors that have a good size backlist, I’m not quite sure where to start. What makes the above video interesting is that I’m pretty sure one of Moorcock’s famous characters is a rocker of some sort. I feel a bit out of the loop, like when my friends talk about the great experiences they had with D&D. Someone point me at a good starting point for Michael Moorcock, please.

I have the whole Elric of Melnibone series you can borrow. The books are really short. My current car is named Stormbringer after Elric’s sword.
Looks like I’m not the only one with Moorcock on the brain. Issue # 5 of Helioptrope is out… and is entirely devoted to the genius of Michael Moorcock. Okay, Pyr is also where I found this video…I probably shouldn’t type before I wake up.
