A World too Near
by Kay Kenyon
Just a quick head’s up that I got the pictured stack of T.A. Pratt novels in the mail recently (courtesy of Bantam Spectra). I’ll run a giveaway soon for copies of the first two books. If you haven’t caught the Marla Mason bug, you can read my reviews of Blood Engines and Posion Sleep. I’ll get a review of Dead Reign up before the giveaway ends.
This’ll be my first giveaway, so I’m very open to advice. I can’t wait to share more of this world with you.

My name is Steven Klotz. I’m a web developer for NOVICA, a very special international company dedicated to preserving local cultures by providing a profitable venue for traditional handmade goods from jewelry to furniture. My personal passion is for the stories told by and associated with speculative fiction, particularly science fiction.
I’ve kept numerous blogs over the years, but I wanted to dedicate more of my blogging time to reviewing speculative fiction. I’ve used the name MentatJack online for quite a while, and I’m quite excited to using it as a label for this space.
You can find many of my reviews republished on the wonderful Adventures in SciFi Publishing.
Be sure to check out my links and to read list. I update both of those regularly, and lower down on this right hand margin, you’ll find links to reviews of books (and other story delivery units) on other blogs. I keep that list updated over at del.icio.us with the tag book-review.
Lastly (but still rather exciting IMHO) I’ve started work on a project I’ve codenamed TagShadow. It will be a quantitative, visual speculative fiction literature recommendation … thingy.

I love Pratt’s Marla Mason books–I’m jealous you have an ARC for Dead Reign!
